Hi everybody
2 questions... Yes I am being gready today....

I have stuck with the low carb since march!
On friday I decided I wanted something quick to eat as I had been out and about, I decided on 1 fishfinger and about 10 chips, yes I am sad I counted the chips. With 2 hours after eating my BG was 18.2, a hour later I felt real bad felt sick, dizzy, shaky, cold sweat, I took my bg again this time it was 22.6, this scared the life out of me.
My first question is why had this shot up so much never had it that high before, I had breakfast the usual,
1 egg,1 piece of bacon, 1 sausage,
I was okay but soon as I had the fishfinger that was it through the roof!

My second question is this... I suffered severe restless legs all last night to the point that I have barely slept, when I took my blood sugar it is 9.6, usually in the morning it is between 7.8 and 8.1, this has been the norm of late. Could the high blood sugar be down to the fishfinger still affecting me?
I have a really rotten sore throat, I think I have another bladder infection yet again! Luckly I see my diabetic nurse on monday hopefully I will remember to bring it up then!
Sorry to ask so many questions,
Sandy

Any infection will give you high blood sugars. My son's blood sugars will sometimes go high and two days later he comes down with a cold.

Now, you know the fish finger and chips wasn't on your eating plan, but it wasn't a lot. I hope you had some nostalgic fun when you ate it.

Hi Hanadr
I am worried about that, My fiancee catches colds as a passtime, he only has to walk past someone with a cold he has caught it! This is what worries me as he could catch it! I could not cope with losing him!

Sandy ,if boyfriend is fit and healthy then he is likely to shrug it off.It is relatively mild in UK but the press tend to exaggerate the negatives!!!

It's understandable that with all your recent loss, you'll worry
I was meaning that you need to look after yourself. Some of what you posted could be symptoms of the start of piggyflu.

Hi Sandy,

There was a daft tv programme where the guy could not touch his resurrected girlfriend or she would die permanently.

They managed to kiss by putting up a sheet of clingfilm between them.

Let me know how it works out!

Hi Katherine,
You mean pushing daises that was funny i must admit!
I don't seem to catch many bugs even though other half catches them often!
My worst thing is I will lose my voice for a day!
He thinks ah peace at last...Lol, then misses me talking!
