It's always nice to welcome someone new to the forum, especially someone who has managed to establish good control, but it would be helpful if you would spend a bit of time reading up on diabetes (some of the discussions on this forum would be a start) before rushing to tell everyone that diabetes type 2 is reversible and can be 'cured', that type 1 can be reversed back to type 2, and that all type2 is a lifestyle choice. All of these statements are simply untrue, as several forum members have already gently pointed out to you, and it is not good to spread this sort of misinformation among the newly diagnosed. I can't be the only person who continues to learn from this forum how little I know about this condition. Try stepping off your soapbox for a moment and reading what other people have to say -- I guarantee that you will find it helpful and illuminating.

Well said, the advice given by this poster is dangerous and ill thought out. A newby reading this would be in trouble if they followed Mr Benn!
