I wonder what treatment he was on. If he hadn't been to a clinic for 6 years how did he get his drugs? Surely his GP didn't give him a sulphonurea type drug or insulin on repeat perscription for that long?

I agree, this was completely irresponcible, I've had a hypo behind the wheel and have immediatly pulled over and treated it and not driven off until i'm absolutely sure that i'm safe. There was no excuse for this, he should of been monitoring and it gives the rest of us a bad name. I have to renew my driving licence every 2 years, to ensure that i'm safe to drive.
