a little worried

Hi
my dad has type 2 diabetes and has done for as long as i remember, Im 22 and my dad is 57.

well very recently in the past 3 weeks or so i have been getting a little worried that i might be developing it, I never normally get ill but recently i have been waking up after 3 hours of sleeping gasping for thirst, even when i drink a pint of water before bed. and I urinate alot too and my dad said i look extremly pale. And just a general feeling of unwell.
I dont do drugs and i dont drink alot either

I have a doctors appointment Friday but it dosent stop me worrying about it till then

any ideas anyone.

Hi Tuolin,

You've done the right thing and made an appointment for the GP. Those symptoms could be diabetes related, but maybe not. Even if it is Diabetes try not to worry as it's not a death sentence you know! :wink: . So stay calm wait to Friday and see what your Doc has to say. :D

Thanks for replying, Yea i dont know alot about illness etc as i never get ill, I shall defo try to stay calm and wait to see what the doc has to say. first time i been in years if im honest.
Yea there are worse things to have i imagine, my dad manages just fine. well when he is not kicking me up the butt to study or what not :D
