i used to weight at 158kg /.170cm.
during nov-dec 2012, i was having a diet of having a meal a day. then i have got diabetes.
i seen a GP who told me that indeed diabetes can be reversed but never cured. i was advised to lose weight while given metformin.
i got my fasting down to 4.6 after a week during which i had lost 5 kg. I was worried and read a lot about the disease.
then i read about roy taylor works. i started to believe that there are no cure for the disorder but there could be possible reversal.
a cure could mean that the disease would never recur, but it impossible as there must be threshold a body could cope with fats , but the body could recover from the disease. just as they said that the common cold is not curable.
now at 130kg, my glucose level has not been high even 2 hrs after desert. i read an article that diabetic are progressive publish in 2003 and an article by that diabetic are reversible publish 2011 by professor with the same name.
up to recently, GP all over the world has used the progressive guidelines all the years, and people who are on medication are still progressively having those complications of the disease. in my country, many old folks are eating to their heart delights after diagnose, as they have given up hope on the disease. so i would rather be the one who bears the hope. so far, it done its job for me.
i also read a chinese article that when a person were to fast for a period of time, the glycogen would be mobilize to take over. were the body experience spike in blood glucose.
so, its up to all of you if you rather be hopeful that losing weight reverse the problem or you rather feel that we should continue giving up hope on recovery.
its been a long 2013 to struggle with the disease, now i believe that it could be reverse and i am going to lose more weight this year.
