My thinking exactly, and today has been the most haphazard day for measurements. timings and logging food intake, as it all went wrong this morning when I found that a tree had fallen on my car. So not a regular day! Since that post, I have consumed another ~15 grams of carbs, mainly from raisins and some from nuts. Again, the timings haven't been logged accurately, but for exactly the reasons you suggest I thought - is my bg still climbing from the mice pies earlier? Very roughly "an hour" after having had the extra 15 grams of carbs - a high amount for me a few months ago - I took another measurement and got 7.6. This is still a very good reading by my usual standards. I'm going to take another reading roughly an hour after that one as well to see which way things are going. Tomorrow when I'm back in a normal routine I'll investigate properly. I'll start the morning with a 34g carb tolerance test I've been using as a marker for a while. Now that my body is expecting to be assaulted by carbs, I'm really interested to see what it will make of it!
