ZandI am still not doing so well with the exercise. This morning I meant to go out for a walk and then went back to bed. I have lost Pedro again, I think he may have run away for good this time. My excuse is that hubby is still on holiday and my routine has been disrupted, but he did get me to help him lift heavy things to take to the tip, does that count for 5 minutes exercise? I will try to make the effort to do something/anything this evening, but am not too hopeful. So, it looks like you win again Pipp!

This is good. Increasing movement in lots of small ways, when and where possible. I march on the spot every time I put the kettle on.
Enjoy time off with hubby, and pick up the exercise when you are ready.
Oh, I'm meant to wear lippy too? Do you reckon that would help me smile?Absolutely that's 5 minutes!
I like the idea of marching on the spot when you make a cup of tea - or brush your teeth. Come to that you could do leg lifts every time you have to go to the loo; touch your toes every time you have to go to the front door; do a star jump every time you put your lippy on - there's no end of ways to add a bit of exercise to the day! Before you know it 30mins is done, and you'll be top of the class (just with lipstick smeared down your chin)!
Haha, wetting myself now.Absolutely that's 5 minutes!

That sounds like a fartlek to me.Well,
I raised my heart rate a bit this morning - out on a run with the dogs, I got about a quarter of the way up a steep climb only to realise that a van was coming up behind me. A single track road with steep sided hedges - blast! Like a whippet I sped up to the top and pulled the dogs safely into a layby. I had to walk 100yds on wobbly legs before I could run again!
What's great is that not that long ago I would have face-planted a nettly hedge rather than run up a hill like that - so thanks Jamrox, and thanks guys! The hard work is paying off!
Forget the lippy. And punish Pedro for hiding by going without him.Oh, I see where I am going wrong now....I'm meant to be enjoying this week! Well I'll try for the rest of the day and tomorrow.....I'll start with practising my smile.....nope, maybe I'll just go out for a long walk after all.
Oh, I'm meant to wear lippy too? Do you reckon that would help me smile? This forum is a real eye opener to me. I don't think I even own any lippy anymore so I won't be doing the star jumps (yay!). Um, maybe I need to change my ways, OMG, I really don't think I can do this, you'll have me thinking about wearing skirts and dresses next! Nope... it ain't gonna happen. Perhaps it's easier if I just do the **** exercise and then just tell you all it's done. And it would get me out of the house. OK, one last look for Pedro
Found Pedro, I've already been to Tesco's and the tip without him, he'd be really miserable if I went for a walk without him too. Can't stop thinking about dresses and shoes and lippy now......maybe it would be kinda nice......Forget the lippy. And punish Pedro for hiding by going without him.
Way to go, zand!Found Pedro, I've already been to Tesco's and the tip without him, he'd be really miserable if I went for a walk without him too. Can't stop thinking about dresses and shoes and lippy now......maybe it would be kinda nice......

I don't even know what colour would suit me anymore - I haven't worn any make up for about 16-18 years! Perhaps I should start experimenting. OK, enough, you have all made sure that I never ever have a lazy day again, you'll have me practising walking in heels again next.....ridiculous......Maybe we should make it a condition that you can only exercise if you're wearing your lippy!
I've now got visions of Pipp powering up and down the fast lane in scarlet, and a red faced @Andy12345 running around his local park in fuschia!
Once a day!!!!!! I thought once a week (at SW) was enough!Way to go, zand!
Wear whatever you like most, but try to wear a smile at least once a day.
You make me wear a smile.

Unfortunately patient experiences aren't measurable or quantifiable - any change to guidelines needs to be research based and therefore (frustratingly) patient opinions will not be taken into account.
Don't lose faith Jamrox, it will change for the better eventually, and in the meantime it's just a case of shouting it from the rooftops as much as we can.
