"A new you in 42"

Are we related? Lol!

Hey Pollylocks no problem that you don't like water exercise
I wouldn't be doing twistboard either. Don't even know what one is, ..........but, if it could be adapted to use in the pool, maybe.

Peacetrain,! Sorry you have not been feeling too good.
Cut yourself some slack! You have been on your feet at school fair after a full time week, been walking a lot on sore joints, have been racing round the playing field, it is warm and humid. You seriously need some relaxation.
Hope you feel better soon.

Just 30 minutes today as I'd foolishly agreed to be on a conference call immediately after my lunch hour. I won't be making that mistake again.
Hey,@julifriend
I just noticed the new avatar pic.
I like it.
I keep meaning to personalise my avatar, but keep putting it off until tomorrow.

I also suffer from white coat syndrome even when the only white coat is my flamingo pyjamas. After I insisted that 160 over something or other was not my true level he had me wear a monitor for twenty four hours. I admit, the first time it started up I was so startled I spilled my tea, but it did return an average of 120 over 80 and that was with some spikes that were likely anxiety related.

I used to have this problem with my pill. I would turn up. The nurse would take bp, I would be stressed that it was going to be too high, it would then be too high, then I'd have to argue case for pill, I'd get 3 months worth then the whole process would begin again. Now they've taken it away

I mentioned to @zand that I had to get off my bum to walk the dogs - thought about this thread and decided to get my running shoes on, even if I didn't feel like it.
Ran through the fields with the dogs and even did a bit of a sprint finish once I had reached the shade of the trees. 'Little house on the prairie' eat your heart out!
I feel great! You guys rock!

Why don't you have an avatar?
I love them! I'm thinking of swapping mine to Hunni when I get down to 10 stone - lol!
I like to have an air of mystery. Or I am just too lazy. Or a bit too thick to be able to know how. Or spending too much time browsing the forum, or have that may personas that it would be too difficult to decide what to use.

I do like other folks' choices though.

..I love avatars, have got lots of forbidden goodies on my tray for you all...they're cyber so won't do us any harm...
Thanks Pollylocks.
I'll have a G&T. Have one yourself.
Treats only allowed to those who have done their 30 mins exercise and reported back on here

Great Bebo321
A good rush of post exercise endorphins is just the way to make anyone feel good.

I have just had my 30 mins at the pool.

Well, being cautious that I didn't make the same mistake I did a couple of weeks ago when I rushed at getting back to pre-illness fitness levels, I decided on gentle swimming for 20 mins followed by 12 mins gentle stretching in the water. If it doesn't already exist I think I just invented aqua-Pilates, as I tried some of the Pilates moves when I was floating in deep water. It didn't hurt like dry Pilates does. Will see about that tomorrow though.

Also had a bit of a senior moment. The minute I immersed myself in the deep end I realised I hadn't brought my towel. If the pool staff hadn't come to my rescue with a roll of paper towel I would have had to dry myself on my more than ample sized undies, and gone commando on the way home. Ah well, at least it wasn't my cozzy I forgot to pack.

Won't bore you with the supermarket traipsing minutes as I did enough in the pool to meet requirements of this challenge.

just ten minutes on bike today and then another trip round Asda at breakneck speed doing my shopping , and junior's shopping as a student who has no lectures on at the minute can't possibly find time to shop. Also buying stuff for weekend as we are going to friends. I asked what was on the menu and explained my diagnosis and low carb eating and was told it'll be fine as she's making quiche and salads and there'll be a cake for afters!! I've bought some cooked meat, cheese and will take strawbs and yogurt.
