When someone responds to one of my postings, should I usually say 'than you'?

I don't want to overload the Forum but I do like to be polite.

What's the correct way?

Good morning @Giil I always say thank you for any replies I am fortunate to receive as I am probably old fashioned but I think its important but that is only my own personal view, enjoy your day:)

If you've asked a question and people have taken time and trouble to give considered answers, possibly with links, it is nice if you reply. It can be a simple thank you for all the replies, or a follow up as to how it all turned out for you or a comment on what you have decided. You can also "like" or "agree" with replies.
You don't have to thank every single person who replies to you, a general response after a few replies will suffice.

Having said all that, if you would like to drop a bottle of wine into my inbox, to show your appreciation of my reply, that will be fine.

Hello @Giil .
You could use the icons at the bottom of the post you like, just as I have on your post.

Hi @Giil, whatever you want really! We are a great bunch and I know I like getting small acknowledgements, but certainly if you get many replies then just a general acknowledgement /thanks is good!!
