A quick rant

So the other day I went to the diabetic centre at the hospital to see my doctor, I explained about the problems I’m having with monitoring and controlling by BG, and how I think the freestyle libre might help me get back to where I want and need to be. He told me to come back in 3 weeks and if we see better control we will look into applying for funding for it, but I’m sure if I go back with a better BG then I probably wouldn’t meet the criteria to access the freestyle libre, I just don’t see the point of going to all these appointment with the exception of the yearly eye test, I find it a waste of time personally.

I understand your frustrations, I get very little out of my annual appointments.
I say "very little" but I can't say "nothing".
For me the value is getting the results of my blood tests and checking that I am doing the right thing.
So far, the answer has been that I am doing the right thing but I would like to know when I have a kidney problem or something so it can be treated.
