After a very disappointing initial consultation with my GP on the 13 March when I asked the locum Doctor who gave me my diagnosis, what I could do to help control this - his reply was "hope for a miracle"!!! I had a much more positive experience yesterday with another doctor, funnily enough another locum, long term this time, who suggested with my current attitude there was a very good chance I could reverse my diabetes.
I asked for a GP referral for some exercise guidance, she filled out the paperwork right there and then, then took my weight, which I'm delighted to say was down by 4kgs . I told her about here and the LCFF approach, eating to the meter. She said it was great that I was tackling things and that no two people are the same, it's not a one size fits all. I've to see her again in a month.
I left feeling so proud of myself and thankful of a bit of encouragement from my GP
