Is anyone out there living and receiving diabetes care in France? I lived in Brittany for 7 years and am thinking about moving back when I graduate (this time next year). One of the things I need to do to be prepared (apart from campaign against Brexit!!) is find out how the French med system deals with diabetes. My husband died of cancer while we were out there (which is why I came back to the UK) and his care there was way better than we would have expected from the NHS, so I'm hoping diabetes care will be as good. Anyone got experience of how the french system deals with diet, medication, reviews etc? Do they recommend the so called 'healthy plate' as they do here or are they more forward thinking? My GP in france is an old boy who was excellent but probably a bit stuck in his ways! Just want to know what to expect......
