I have peripheral neuropathy and take various medication. My Hba1c reading's have always been in an acceptable range, until my latest one. That came back at 79. I was diagnosed six years ago but it was thought I had been living with the condition for many years. I am due to see the GP in a couple of weeks and I wanted to see if anyone else has been, or is in a similar position to me. Is it likely that I will be given insulin or more likely that a different course of action will be advised? I appreciate what is prescribed for one might not be done for another but I have no clue what to expect and to be honest the whole situation is overwhelming and I am very depressed. Many thanks for your advice.
