Hi
I purchase my abbots freestyle as I'm type 2 and dr doesn't prescribe it. Is anyone else having problems with this as I've had a lot, some won't connect to scanner, some connect but stop working after a few days. One gave extremely low readings which had I been on insulin would have been disastrous. I did finger prick tests then rang Abbotts, they always replace when I ring them but it's getting ridiculous how many times they fail. Especially as they're not cheap at £103 for 2 sensors that should last 30 days. Just curious, to know if anyone else having problems.
Regards
Pam

Hi @Pambo123

I think Libre has always been a bit hit and miss so I'm not sure that your problems are specifically related to Libre 3.
I switched to Dexcom ONE (due to adhesive allergy issues) and don't have any issues with it at all. Sensors last 10 days officially - but there are ways of extending the life,
A pack of 3, currently costs about £72 online.

needles, bloods sampling, infact most medical stuff which usually result in panic/anxienty attacks, hyperventalating etc :< also dislike medevil torturists aka dentists :O
the last couple have gave me consistantly low readings well libre2 plus ...
vs fingerprick. DSN wants to go by the CGM ignoring the fact of the consistantly lower readings. abbots have replaced a couple of sensors free of charge :)
