Depends how long you've been taking that dose for... if it's been like, 4-5 days now since you started with new dose and insulin, then your body has likely adjusted to the new insulin and dose and is telling you correct info about the dose through your blood tests. If so, then I'd personally put it up by 1 unit and then wait 4-5 days to see what my body says on testing.
Feel you about it making you feel awful. Hate it when my doses are not right anymore for a while. Hopefully it won't take too long to sort if meal ratios and correction ratios were correct in past and it is just the background insulin dose that needs tweaking.
I would say that I've been moved on to Ablasagar too because of Levemir's discontinuation recently, but I haven't taken a dose of Ablasagar yet because I'm still using up my Levemir, split dose. I had a hard time on Lantus (similar to Ablasagar) in past (had a lot of hypos, it was awful), so I'm a bit worried if I have to take any Ablasagar before starting my pump kit, but that's looking unlikely I think because I think I have enough Levemir to get by before 25th November. I'm not sure my team think I will too because they've not advised if it's split dose again or single dose. When I was on Lantus, that was single dose, and I've seen people on here mainly say single dose, so I'm guessing it is normally single dose, but when the time comes, I will ask my team to double check anyways.
All the best, and keep fighting the good fight!
