Type of diabetes

Hello Katie here, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in march of this year,i am on diet alone for know,i am getting cramp like pain`s in my leg,and my GP doesn't know what it is or what is causing it.it can be very painful at times.----
I am a 62 year old lady,i am retired,but lead a very busy life.

Hi Katie and welcome from me.

Are you on statins ?

I have heard that they can cause leg cramps....
 
Could it be restless legs syndrome? I get that and it's REALLY painful. (And I'm on statins too)
If it is, whAt works for me is to take a procylizine and have a sleep. Don't know if that helps. I hope it does. Take care.
