They recommend not to use this medication if you have a decreased liver or kidney function. Does this mean that if you have excellent kidney function, Acarbose can harm or reduce your kidney function?
Shouldn't side affects be classified into 2 groups - short term use of the medication and long term use of the medication?
 
This medication is rarely talked about on this forum.
If you have any concerns then best course of action would be to enlist the help of your Doctor.
