Hi yourself, and welcome to the forum.
A fasting Blood Glucose level reding doesn't always mean much - though yours looks fine.
Fasting BG is often affected by Dawn Phenomenon, which is where the liver dumps glucose into the bloodstream to give us energy to go hunt/gather our first meal of the day. Livers haven't evolved to get used to fridges and supermarkets yet.
BG readings which are actionable are those used to test foods/meals. Test right before eating and then again 2 hrs after the first bite. If the 2nd reding is both no higher than 8.0 mmol and is not more than 2 mmol higher than the pre-meal reading, then your body coped well with what you ate.
If not, then try reducing portions, or switch out some higher carb food for some lower carb ones. Note that all carbs (both sugars and starches) digest into glucose and so raise BG levels and your body functions best with at most around 1 teaspoon of glucose dissolved in the whole 8 pints of blood in our bodies.
