Accu Check Meters

Hello,
I am diabetic, I was using the Aviva sent by my daughter from the USA for the past so many months. Aviva Strips in india is around 1$/Strip and getting it is difficult. So i am planning to go for the Accu-Check Active Meters which are widely available when compared to aviva. I Wanted to know if they are as reliable as Aviva in the terms of reading. I am not looking at Connectivity/PC Download - I use it only checking my blood sugar level.

How does Accu-Check Active reading compare with Aviva and Other Accu-Check Meters.
Are the newer Accu-Check meters technologically more advanced in regards to computing the Blood Sugar Level?

Thank You,

Ram

All metres are reasonable accurate (in particular, Accu-Check is sold in the EU and subject to various accuracy requirements). Thus, they may or may not be as reliable as Aviva (relative) but are certainly sufficiently reliable (absolute).

If one assumes that the claims on the packaging (fastest result, smallest sample size, least painful) are not in violation of the advertising standards code then one could, in fact, conclude that BG meters are parity products.
