Accu Chek Aviva Expert BGM

Hi,
I’m looking at the Accu Chek Aviva Expert blood glucose meter, just wondering if any fellow posters can help....
1) how did you get yours? They seem hard to get, and expensive.
2) do you rate them over and above a meter without bolus advisor?
3) any issues getting your GP to prescribe the test strips?

1) mine (when I had it) was prescribed via a diabetes nurse at a local clinic)

2) personally I’d say they’re about the same

3) GP’s will normally go with the advice of a nurse in that field in my experience so I don’t see any problem as to why they wouldn’t.

They are just my experiences so others may differ
