Hi All, Just wondering if any of you could help. Today I got issued a new Aviva Expert BG machine, which gives you a bolus indicator. Unfortunately I set up the machine incorrectly and didn't set-up for it to give me a correct insulin dose, i somehow managed to skip this section. Does anyone know if there is someway of getting back into machine set-up to switch the bolus advice on?? If anyone has any experience with this machine id be gratefull if you could help as ive contacted Accu-Chek directly and cant get any sense out of the foreign operators.

Thanks in advance.....

Hi, I have the same meter but my hospital DSN set it up, but I haven't used the Insulin dosage that she set up for a long time, as my readings were to high.!! I will have a look at mine, but you should have an instruction book with it, or you could try to Google the question.

Best wishes RRB

Select Settings and then Bolus Advice and then select Time Blocks, from there you can adjust the settings.

Your DSN should have set you meter up for you but to change the bolus advice settings you need to go to - settings - bolus advice - time blocks. This will let you set the bolus advice for the time frames on the meter inc carb ratio and insulin sensitivity. Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply, ive tried googling it but couldn't find anything. The instruction book tells you how to set it up but it does not explain how to get back into the setup once complete.

Thank you for your reply @monkehwife, my DSN didnt set up for me unfortunately as we had already worked out my carb ratio when i had a similar machine before. All done now tho so many thanks....

@Spam85, did you not get the instruction manual with the meter, if you refer to that it will tell you how to work the features on the Expert, if you've misplaced it you might be able to download it or Accu-Chek will send you out another if you ring their helpline and request one.

No problem spam, any other problems with it just give me a shout and I'll help if I can. I've faffed about with mine that much that I pretty much know it inside out lol
