Can anyone tell me how to alter the correction dose calculater on the meter. My glucose was 13 6 at bedtime and suggsted dose 4.5 units of novorapid and since each unit lowers bg by 2.8 you can see id be hypo when asleep !! Just cant find this in any of the settings

Select Settings and then Bolus Advice, click on Time Blocks and then scroll down to the time that you want to make the adjustment, when you find it press select then you will see a breakdown of your target range and carb ratio, below that is Insulin Sensitivity and it is this that you want to be adjusting, just select it and use the arrow buttons to move it either up or down.

Hope that helps.

Looks as if the 2.8 for 1 unit is entered right but its not coming up with the correct sum so may have a fault, fortunatly I do the sum in my head so no harm done. Thanks anyway noblehead

Yeah that's the key with all these technical gadgets, you need to treat them as an AID not the be all and end all.
Technology can fail, do a sanity check on it.. if your maths sucks (like mine does when I am hypo) get someone else to check. :)

The old mantra "Trust but verify"

Hi

The less insulin that is injected, the more there is the need to add up the TDD and divide it into 100 to get the new correction settings. This is not set jn stone though and at different times of the day, as the insulin to carb ratio might need to change, the correction factor might also need to change
