Hey All,
My beloved Accu-chek mobile device that I use at home has unfortunately failed on me, the battery compartment no longer stays completely shut so unless I hold it down my meter won't come on at all. It's been a long time coming and I've had that meter for years so It's had long use. I'm calling my nurse up tomorrow to ask about what replacements are available as I know the mobile was discontinued so it's unlikely my hospital will have any to give me. I've done some "research" into alternatives as the whole reason I chose to use the mobile was due to not wanting to use loose strips anymore so I don't want to go back to that. I've seen that a meter exists called the Betacheck C50 which is basically the same as the mobile. Has anyone been able to get this machine through their hospital and if so is it any good? If not does anyone have any other meters that do not use loose test strips they have been able to get?
Thanks!
