Does anyone have a link to get a free meter?

Hubby is currently using my spare one and I cant find the page I used to get my meter.

Any help appreciated.

They were giving some limited offer ones away but I'm not sure the offer is still valid. I applied for one but was refused on the grounds I already have one registered. Otherwise, you have to buy them. If I knew where to get free ones I would get one. Mine is over 3 years old.

What was the problem that caused you to contact them Jaylee?

My old beaten up meter was on its way out at the time. (an Accu-Chek.)

My DSN didn't have any replacements, but told me to ring the company.

A rather helpful German guy on the other end of the phone offered me a choice? He'd already pointed me at the website so I was perusing the models while we talked on the pros & cons..
He sent me two different types to try out & see which I got on with.
I chose the mobile. After checking with my DSN if I could be prescribed the cassettes for it.
I rang back Roche. This time talking to an American guy. (Equally helpful.) mentioned loving the mobile.
& asking if I could have a spare.. He mentioned they do a two types of case for the Mobile, but the phone case style in his opinion was a better design with the belt loop.
Just like the first send. I promptly received a second boxed meter & case in the post.
It was almost like Roche lived next door!

I can't knock the customer service..

It seems the free offers from Abbott's has closed, but it's worth a visit just in case they do another offer.

Call accu chek up on their freephone number they will send you a new one.
I called the other day for batteries and testing solutions but ended up getting a new meter by accident.
You have just reminded me to chase the batteries up.
All free.

Thanks everyone, and @MH2010 for starting the thread. I have just emailed Accu Chek to see if I can have a free meter so I have a back up as mine is over 3 years old and has a lot of use! Fingers crossed.

BINGO! I sent them an email asking for a new meter as mine is over 3 years old and I could do with a back up. Had this reply today.

Thank you for contacting Accu-Chek.

We would like to inform you that we have sent you the requested Accu-Chek Mobile meter today. Please allow 3 - 5 working days for delivery, all meters are sent by recorded delivery and require a signature upon receipt.

Once you have received your new device, please contact us at the Customer Careline to register your new blood glucose meter and activate its warranty.

We look forward to hearing from you.

I am delighted. :)

I reported by email that my current Accu-Chek Mobile meter had broken. I was sent another free of charge.

I have two, both supplied by Accu-chek FOC. I think it was just a case of registering.

One is a pouch, takes pens and needles too. The other a snug leather flip case.

@pouhoboy

I also have two, both free from Accu Chek. It is probably necessary to register your meter with AC Mobile from their website in order to get one. You also get free control solution and replacement batteries. Mine are both the same, hard flip top with a magnetic self close function, room for meter and lancet pen.

I have two , I just sent them an email to say I would like a backup if one failed whilst on holiday and they sent me another, first class service.
