Hi I was diagnosed with type one around 4 months ago but I would say this past 3/4 weeks I have noticed aching sensation in the heels of feet, I have tried soaking them in hot soapy water but that makes no difference. Has anyone else had issues like this, I do sit at a desk all day but I do get up and try to be active and do look after my feet. Also I have my BG levels under control and don't go that high ??

Any advice or suggestions would be great full as thinking of booking an appointment with my GP.

Thanks

It would be very unlikely that your sore heels would be diabetes related at such an early stage. Joint pain can be attributed to diabetes but typically after a prolonged period of having the disease combined with frequently elevated BG.

Has anything changed activity wise recently or have you bought new footwear?

Hi grant,

Nope no change to activity or footwear also I tend to get tingling in my fingers and sometimes find it hard to draw blood when testing?

Thanks

It may be best for you to go and see your GP in that case. I'm afraid I'm unable to comment as I've not experienced anything like this.

Maybe someone else has and will post shortly:)
