Acromegaly plus type 2

Type 2 diabetes is associatd with this condition
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/acromegaly/
I have not seen evidence reported here in the forum before, so you may be the first to report this. I hope you manage to get the right treatment for both of these problems.

Does anyone have type 2 as a result of acromegaly
Yes, I do. The effects of excess growth hormone make it very lkely that you will develop diabetes mellitus; although I'd guess it's really Type 3d. GH makes peripheral muscle use free fatty acids rather than blood glucose; it also promotes the generation of glucose and breaks down glycogen into glucose as well.
