Activating libre 2

I've got a Libre 2 to use, used one ages ago. I'm aware the readings may be unreliable for the first 24 hours. So do you leave it on for 24 hours then activate our just ignore the first 24 hour of readings?
Any help gratefully recieved.

Hi,

For me they work from the off.
But I have on occasions fitted one an hour or 6 in advance before the sensor in use expires…

I also check more rigorously with my meter when firing a new one up?

I usually put mine on about 12 hours in advance of scanning it, but have scanned immediately when circumstances dictate. I find the readings a bit high for a day if I scan straight away.

I always put on hours ahead. Unless I’ve had to change a faulty one. Not only do I find them more accurate, but as I am wearing one constantly, I can activate immediately the other ends, whilst still sat in bed the following morning.
