Some people find it relaxing so might be good for stress but that's it really.
They have done plenty of studies and it is only a placebo effect. They compared (I find this very amusing) real acupuncture with "sham" accupucture. Some of the "sham" sessions were with needles that retracted and others where they had real needles but just stuck them in randomly!
