I'm not sure if anyone could answer my question ,my husband injects 3 times a day.
He also has vascular dementia I have applied for him to go to day centre twice a week .
This is where the problems is ,day centre will not give the insulin has husband is unable to inject himself as I do it .District nurse have been asked to go into day centre either to inject or show how but they have refused .I just need him to go to the day centre just to have a rest from it .I don't know who else to ask .Thanks kath

Really sorry to hear this. I would discuss this with diabetes team at hospital. Given his needs, they might be able to give him a pump which would mean you’d be able to administer insulin in the app.

What type of insulin is he injecting? Is he type one or two? It might be he could swap swap to a different insulin that lasts longer and only needs to be injected once (for example tresiba)
