Lack of choice of insulin for newly diagnosed patients.
Dog owners who let their dogs poop in the street-a hazard for most, but worse if you're visually impaired!

Having no hypo-awareness is a very dangerous situation, and I totally agree with Carbsrok, try another insulin.
From your previous posts I presume you're a young guy, and I'm surprised your doctor is so willing to accept that you've lost your hypo-awareness. It's just pure ignorance, and the fact that younger diabetes docs will only have ever treated patients on GM analogues or synthetic human insulins, introduced in the 80s. Many patients suffered loss of hypo-awareness after being changed to them from animal insulin. I've posted this link before, but maybe you should print it out and show it to your doc next visit. http://www.mindfully.org/GE/Diabetics-Not-Told.htm
It's pretty disgusting that Diabetes UK (formerly the British Diabetic Association), the UK's largest and bestl-known diabetes charity fail to address this issue. Who's interests are they protecting by sitting on this info , not the patients'!
However you WILL get the facts about insulin from the wonderful IDDT http://www.iddt.org/

I'm seeing a new diabetic specialist next month who was recommended to me from the Professeur I dealt with in France . He's also diabetic and easy to talk with so will see what he thinks?
