Hi all

I'm apparently honeymooning and very sensitive to insulin needing 1:25 with a basal of 8 units lantus. The time I get it wrong I have left it high, between 11-13. I'm too worried to guess at night as have some wicked lows in the night how do I work out the units needed to lower my sugar?

Speak to your DSN. They should be able to make a recommendation specific to you. Correction amounts can vary hugely between people.

I'm always extremely cautious about correcting at night. If you do use a correction dose, I suggest you make sure it works out ok for you during the daytime first. Always test after too to see how things are going.

Good advice from @azure

When you do discuss things with your DSN be sure to ask for a half unit insulin pen.
