I am T2 and am trying to control it by diet and exercise. In the past I have been on Metformin, Gliclazide and Sitagliptin. I am almost 6 ft tall and weigh 81 Kgs.

My BG in the morning is usually around 7 mark, occasionally in sixes. I am usually at my best in the morning.

I find after having had my breakfast or lunch during the day if BG start to go down to 6 mark, I start feeling as if my BG is going down and it will trigger anxiety. Even though I am no where near going hypo. My understanding is diabetes will not cause hypo unless you have done extensive exercise without any food which would be same for non diabetics !

I am trying to overcome this but there are times when I think I should be able to do better.

Does anybody else ever has the similar symptoms? If yes how do you overcome them? Or any general advice will be gratefully received.

Thanks for reading this post and for your replies.

It could be that you are experiencing a false hypo. This is quite common for people who have improved their readings from a higher level.

Hi PSS,

I am also a T2 and since I have started to lower my BS's and take control - I have started to get a kind of tension like headache, which makes me feel a little unwell, in that I get a bit shaky and anxious - sometimes I start to feel warm. Usually though when I test my sugars I find they are perfectly normal by this I mean they are never below 4.0. If I keep my BS under control eventually these episodes of feeling like this go... but if I am bad foodwise - they return until I get things under control.

I hope this helps.

Thank you. Good to know that these are signs of taking control of BG :-)
