I am unsure as to whether I should have my Levemir dosage. My b/g reading is 7.4. I usually inject 6 units before bedtime. My b/g has not been this low before bedtime. Am I heading for a hypo during the night if I inject this amount. Many thanks.

Your Levemir dose is taken to deal with the slow, constant release of glucose from your liver, so it shouldn't affect your blood glucose level if it is set correctly. But if you are worried about dropping low, then have a snack as @ewelina suggests.

@silverbirch, Robert is right. You shouldn't need to raise your blood sugar above normal to go to bed. Ideally, and if your basal rate is correct, your blood sugar should stay flat all night. Unless you eat and bolus less than three or four hours before bed. But it sounds like you may need to rebalance your basal and bolus rates. Before I found out about how to set the correct basal, I was letting my basal bring down my blood sugar, rather than the bolus. I just didn't realize how they interacted.
