Hope some one can explain diagnosed with diabetes in Feb . Blood levels 50 but had a test last week now 46 does that mean no longer diabetic. Also had metformin tabs for 2 moths but stopped as felt poorly. Dr said I'd cope without. I really have l diet issues as have a really sweet tooth that I find hard at times . So sugar is into diet maybe more than it should be so how can levels drop so quick????

Go down to local sweet shop and ask for sugar free sweets. Old fashioned sweet shops have them makes a difference
Sherbert lemons and licorice do it for me

You must have been doing something right as it's going in the right direction. I would say "still", only because I consider myself to be "still".
There is a group of thought that suggests artificial sweeteners can maintain a desire for "sugar" and that it is best to not substitute them for the real thing.
I never used them, not keen on the taste they add. So after many months of no sugar it amazes me how sweet some foods are compared to when I used to eat them regularly. To explain. I still bake bread for my family and will try a little bit of each loaf to see how it is... and now they are so sweet as to put me off eating them. It is a slow process though and can happen. Tomatoes are another, too sweet.

Most sugar free candy is sweetened with maltitol which will cause a huge spike in my BG but it can be easy to miss as it does'nt happen until 3 hours after I eat it. It can also cause lower digestive problems of epic proportions. Think hours in the bathroom. Diabetes cannot be cured, it can be managed well or even put into temporary remission but, as I found out the hard way by losing all feeling in my right foot, if you let your vigilance lapse it will come back to bite you.
