Hi, I was diagnosed as Type 2 about 18 months ago and at the beginning of December was told that I was Type 1 LADA. Since being on insulin (I'm on Levemir x 2 and Novorapid x 3) I'm putting weight on for fun. I'm waiting to learn how to carb count but my appointment isn't until 9th March. I've always been a snacker and am struggling to stop this. I'm also a big sweet and crisp eater. Any tips on how to control this better?

Stay on insulin from day one dont put it off it will lengthen your honeymoon period

Best way to work out insulin to carb ratio is to inject 1 unit and eat a normal bag of crisps circa 15g carb. See how this affects your blood sugar and adjust accordingly
