Early days and all quite confusing. As a newly diagnosed T2 (19th Feb) planning to control my diabetes with weight loss - start 111 kg... 1st target 100kg... already lost 2kg in 1st week, and diet, and who has just started testing am finding that reducing my carb intake does seem to help in controlling my Bg after meals. Before lunch readings the last two days 5.6 and 5.9... and 2 hours after after lunch 8.7 (bread!) and 5.6 (no bread) respectively. However, am struggling to understand my before breakfast Bg - last three days 7.8, 9.2 (rice the night before!!) and 7.1 today. Can anyone offer advice on how I might try to bring this down to what I understand is the more normal 5.5 or below? Thanks Tony
