Hi everyone, I'm hoping some of you may be able to offer some advice or share your experiences. Did any of you experience unexplainable hypos in the first few weeks of pregnancy?
The reason for my asking is over the past week or so I have had multiple hypos (much lower than I've had before) with seemingly no explanation - no change in foods eaten, no illness or infection and I always triple check my metres bolus advice before taking my insulin. The only thing that is different is that my period is 5 days late? I haven't tested yet, due to test in the morning but I was just wondering if pregnancy could be the cause? I've been racking my brains for days and it was only when my fiancee mentioned the late period that I started to wonder if anyone had had this experience before? Sorry to ramble on. Thank you in advance

Hey,

In my first trimester I remember having 7 hypos in 5 hours! I couldn't get my sugars up no matter what I ate! If your period is late and you are expecting then it's a good explanation for the hypoing!

Hope all goes well xxx

Maybe your body taking the nutrients for the baby or something like that!! Crazy things happen to your body during pregnancy! By the end I was on 4 times the insulin amounts than I was when started!!!
