This afternoon changed my set - on Medtronic 780 with guardian 4
Numbers were 7 before set change & hour later were 7.8
Had a chicken roll for tea - gave exact carbs
My numbers have gone absolutely crazy - see picture
My main concern is the pump- it has done no corrections - I now have no insulin on board & not offering me a correction - even when I’m so high
Aaaaaagh what on earth is going on?!!!

Hi,

Firstly I’m not and never have been on a pump and I’m type 2 not type 1.

But this sounds to be like a situation you need to deal with fairly quickly. The obvious things that spring to mind are checking everything is ok with your set up and the insulin is in Date (apologies if that’s teaching grandmother to suck eggs).

Then given the time of day could you phone 111 for advice? If your blood sugar keeps going up and you are not able to correct it the. Skip 111 and call 999 or go to a & e.
 
One question. (Sounds silly.) Have you checked your sensor against a meter?
 
I use a tslim pump, but if it was me on my pump with that reading, I'd give myself a correction dose with an injection and wait before putting a new cannula in, as that works quickest for me.

Alternatively I'd give a correction dose so the pump gave me insulin, but I'm not sure you can do that?? Can you enter false carbs?? Either way I'd check for ketones as @Jaylee suggested.

I'm not sure how your pump works, so what works for me, may not be right for you.
 
In terms of it not giving a correction the Medtronic can max out its corrections and won’t give anymore until you input a blood glucose reading. If I was at that reading I would have changed my pump set as it could be that it wasn’t working properly and then did a finger prick check which should have then allowed to to give a correction by pressing the down arrow on the main screen.
