Had a bit of a funny turn on Wednesday - never experienced anything like it before. Got up felt fine, did work on farm then came in to see to my holidaymakers breakfast, stood and sink and dreadful feeling came over me in an instant, thought I was going to pass out(but did not) and pulse was racing really bad. Glucose that morning was 8.5(it normally is between 7.5 and 8.5 in the mornings). Felt like this for about an hour or so. Saw doctor that day who said he did not think it was linked to the diabetes, said he was not sure what it could be, maybe a middle ear infection(whatever that is)!
Anyway, i feel fine now but one or two people are saying they reckon it must be Lisinopril(blood pressure pills that i've been on for three months) that had made me ill and suggest I stop taking them(but i think i should carry on taking them) doctor did not suggest it could be these pills.

I wondered if anyone else has had something similar happen to them?

thanks

Hi ang.

Had a similar question asked about Lisinopril recently. Here is some information about the Drug:
LISINOPRIL
Side-effects less commonly tachycardia, palpitation, cerebrovascular accident, myocardial infarction, Raynaud’s syndrome, confusion, mood changes, vertigo, sleep disturbances, asthenia, impotence; rarely dry mouth, gynaecomastia, alopecia, psoriasis; very rarely allergic alveolitis, pulmonary infiltrates, profuse sweating, pemphigus, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and toxic epidermal necrolysis

Whatever problems you have should be discussed with your GP before starting or reducing medication.

This is a link to the original answer. Take a look,

it may be related as you are also on Metformin I see. Do you know what your Bg level is when this happens ?

Hope this helps.

Ken. :D
