Hi again. So I've been trying to get control over my bg and as I also have dyscalculia I'm finding it hard to record in a way I can clearly understand patterns etc.

I've been using the DAFNE diary but it doesn't have enough room (for example if I'm pre bolusing each meal/recording corrections/hypos etc) to record everything.

I've Googled layouts but to be honest I'm struggling to find something simple that would make deciphering the numbers easier for me.

Does anyone have any ideas or wish to share their recording layout? I should add apps don't work well for me I prefer pen and paper

Although it's "App-ish", you may want to talk to your diabetes team.
I upload my numbers direct from my meter to diasend which gives me some useful layouts for analysing trends.
Personally, I know I would very quickly get bored with writing everything down and, if the numbers are stored in my meter, why should I?

Thanks @helensaramay but I'd personally prefer it hand written so I can review it myself and adjust my insulin etc as and when. I sometimes wait 6-12months between clinic apps. If I was using only my meter it would be difficult to note pre bolusing etc. I'm just not very technically savvy lol

I totally understand: we all have our own foibles. Mine is a frustration about writing things down (I do it so rarely nowadays, I can't read my own handwriting).
For anyone else reading this thread, I want to add that Diasend is available for me to access whenever I want: I don't have to wait for my next appointment ... which are always 12 months apart.
Good luck for finding your best approach.
