I have had type 2 for a few years now and never reslly worried about it been on tablets i have been to drs today as im not managing very well and they have advised i inject anyone able to tell me any info on this as i now have to wait 4 weeks to see the nurse and not sure about this how many times i inject will it affect my lience as i drive for a living my my sugars are always high never low thanks

Hi, yes if you go onto insulin you will have to inform the DVLA, you will also have to check your blood every time you are about to drive and if on long journeys check every 2 hours I think it is, also have they told you what insulin regime you are being put on? if its a mixed insulin it will be 2 injections per day, if basal/bolus it would be every time you ate and either one or 2 long acting injections x
