Hi, I've had issues with my bg it's reading HI. I saw my GP yesterday and explained that my readings had been reading HI since Friday. I told him I'm contantly drinking and sleeping how weak I am and that I feel like I'm going to pass out. He increased my Gliclazide and told me to come back in 3 weeks. I know I've only been on 2 of the Gliclazide for 2 days so they haven't really kicked in but my readings are still saying HI and I'm feeling a lot worse. Can anyone advice me on what to do I'm worried my GP will say I've not given the tabs enough time. I don't know how much longer I can cope with how it's making me feel.
 
But my GP doesn't seem concerned that it's high. I'm worried they will just send me home because of what my GP said. I live in a small village and don't have transport. My head feels like it's going to explode I don't if it's because it's just a headache or because my bg is high.
 
My GP said if these tabs don't work there are lots of other he can add and try. This is why I'm so unsure on what to do jack412.
 
If you're feeling so poorly that you're needing to ask for help here, please do as Jack says. It's best to get yourself checked over now, even if it mighty "only" turn out to be a very bad headache. Never mind about what your gp might say, he's not actually with you now to see how bad you're feeling.

As others have said, you need to go to A@E .

Blood sugar levels of over 30 mmol/l in type 2 diabetes can lead to a dangerous condition known as Hyperosmolar Hyperglycaemic State.
 
Thank you all I'm going to go to A&E it's not just my head it's all the other symptoms. Thanks again.
 
I take 3 metformin and 80mg of gliclazide in the morning. My GP said I can go up to 160mg on the gliclazide. If that doesn't make a difference there are other tabs that can be added before insulin.
 
I'm waiting to see if my friend can take me if not I'll be calling for an ambulance.
