Hi Everyone,
I'm hoping you can help me, with some advice.
I was diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic in 2005 as a 20yo and now at 34 generally manage it myself
I have 28 units of Lantus each night around 7pm, and novorapid as short acting.
I changed roles at work to more desk based and have been having trouble with my levels between lunch & dinner.
I have my lunch insulin around 11:30am, so by around 4pm should have no short acting in my system, my Lantus should also be close to 0 by this time.
My afternoon is a Rollercoaster from high ( 15ish+) just after lunch to lows around dinner time. I can also at times have no insulin with dinner and be low again within an hour of finishing.
I'm thinking the issue is lantus and I'm thinking of moving my dose out to 10pm each day or splitting it morn/night.
Any other thoughts that will help me not to scoff down skittles every afternoon.
