Type 1 Air bubbles in Insulin

My sons lantus pen has an air bubble that I flicked to the top and I did a few air shots but could not remove it what should I do? I am worried about the air bubble and not being able to get rid of it.
 
Hold the pen upright and flick the cartridge a few times, usually when you do a air shot it's enough to get rid of the bubble.

Failing that just change the cartridge or pen (if using disposable pens).

It's not air, It's a very small marble that helps with the mixing
