Note the word meant
I never put surgical spirit in the syringe holder, just boiled the syringe up once a weekI did, hence why I'd stink of the stuff. Remember pumping the surgical spirit out of the syringe before drawing up the insulin, pain it was........
As people say.A quick one, what were those alcohol wipes called that you used to clean the top of the insulin vials, just can't recollect the name
As people say.
do Google search
then a amazon search
ebay
then if you can find the brand name or ref number from these results you can do your own searches and make your own mind up to wear you buy
But do try your local chemist some times they are the best

I can vaguely remember Mum taking the syringe to bits every now and then, but do remember the surgical spirit in the holder more.I was told you filled it up to keep the syringe sterile, did have to boil it once a week also.
Lets hope we don't go back to them day again i had a glass syringe and only 6 needle with a piece or wire that you pushed through them to keep them clean .boiled the needle in a saucepan.I can vaguely remember Mum taking the syringe to bits every now and then, but do remember the surgical spirit in the holder more.
Can also remember being given methylated spirits by the pharmacist once and it took all the markings off of the syringe. Just as well there was a spare syringe kept safe.

Sorry, no - maybe someone else knows.ok, i hear that you can by some wipes , just wondering if you know
There's a cream you can buy from boots, just ask at the counter for it. They use it for small children.is there any wipes you can buy for numbing before injection
I think you mean surgical spirit not methsGood old industrial meths ( clear one ) and cotton wool balls. I still have this on repeat prescription. Mind you also have sterettes alcohol wipes as Dr trying hard to stop me using both. Ive been Diabetic since February 1977 and in all that time had no puncture wound infection. I was told recently not to use any alcohol on skin. How much do you want to bet a sharp increase in puncture wound infections.
No wonder your GP wants you to stop using it http://www.bonnymans.co.uk/products/product.php?productID=6289No its industrial meths, i had this since 1977 when i was diagnosed. I use to store my glass syringes and needles in it to keep it sterile after boiling
