Alcohol wipes

Sorry i meant to say also im just type 1 basal bolus so dont have to worry about needles in place for 3 days plus. I just purely use it now just to clean skin prior to injecting. I have of course sterets for if im going somewhere and have these on prescription as well. Again i think its where you live again, ive heard people on here moaning because they cannot get cotton wool, sterets, testing strips, testing meters, and ketone testing strips. Its wrong that depending in what part of the country you live in depends on what you are issued. Everyone should be allowed t8 have anything which makes your life easier. As you know ( you have been diabetic longer than me) the amount of injections we have had to do, my injection sites are showing now signs of years of injections. Lets hope one day we all get pumps or they find a cure. Ive been on the DAFNE course. God it opened my eyes to our condition. When i was diagnosed a nurse brought me a little blue book with what i could and couldn't eat and a orange i had 2 goes at injecting into the orange the Dietitian came to see me again telling me to eat sugarless foods that was basically all i was told about my condition . The DAFNE course within 10 minutes i found out i was eating 21/2 times what i should have been eating purley by the size of the bowl i was eating it from. Its a week long course with a diabetic nurse and dietitian and throughout the course you see a diabetic consultant where you can see him one to one with any problems you have. It was on this course i was told now just to use soap and water before injecting. I challenge this and was told not to worry if i was happy using meths or sterets to carry on. If you have not done this course its worth it and its a recognised course meaning you usually can get paid for going on it as this helps you control your diabetes better and there was pump users on the course to.

God thats expensive, over the counter at my local chemist its £2.95 for 2 litres and £6.25 for 5 litres this company is charging a fortune. Again depends on where the pharmacy gets their stocks from. So ive got down my shed over £1000 worth of industrial meths .

Sorry i have both sterets and industial meths on repeat prescription. My doctor just does not bother to take the industrial meths off. Mind you i have not tried ordering it now for 5 years so maybe he will stop me next time i try ordering it.
