Good evening. I have had a couple of glasses of wine this evening and am now slightly breathless. Has this happened to anyone else? It happens every so often and am not sure of the cause. Thank you.

First thing is, if you're worried, go and get checked out. There are plenty of causes of shortage of breath.
It happened to me a while ago, and it's alarming.
Mine was caused by anxiety and alcohol can affect that.
I stress, I'm no medic.
Best of luck

Sulfite allergies can cause shortness of breath and wheezing, so that could be one plausible explanation. Better to get it checked though- as Jo says above, it could be any number of things.

Alcohol has interactions with certain diabetes medications and some of these can be dangerous, it's worth looking up.
