I have drank for 22 years out of my 37 with diabetes, I have got away with binge drinking etc. Last year I made a choice to stop any form of drinking at all as I found controlling my sugar for the 24 hour period after was a nightmare. I would have to do bolus correction after correction until all of a sudden I would just go hypo, then rebound! Just found it easier to stop and not have to worry about it
