I read a recent posting about a member having a fall and came around to find a medic trying to srick a monitor or something on his/her chest.

This concerned me as whilst being type 2, taking metformin daily I am currentlywithout any problems BUT I am highly alergic to all kinds of sticking plaster including micropore.
If I was away from the home and had an accident how can I be sure that the medical emergency services would not use sticky tape etc?
It was suggested some years ago I wore a bracelet but I have since been told the services do not look for these things now as they wish to dedal with you as quickly as possible.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

What happens in the allergy to sticking plaster, @membrew ? Is it a localised skin reaction, or anaphalaxis? I have sympathy with your plight, as I too have a lot of allergies, some causing very unpleasant symptoms. In a life threatening situation, I would trade the skin irritation for having my life saved, but administering certain drugs in the event of an accident could cause life threatening reactions. I tend not to worry too much, because paramedics also carry the adrenaline they would need to inject should I have an allercic reaction and have the training to recognise and treat anaphylaxis. It has recently been suggested I wear medic-alert jewellery. I am going to invest in some.
