I see a lot of low carb recipes are using almond flour. Where on earth do I buy this? I've looked in supermarket but they only stock the usual flours. Would Holland and Barrett sell it?

Best way is to grind you own. Or you could do it in a mixer or blender, but I find grinding gives the best result.

Almond flour is just a ground almond. You should find it in most supermarkets near nuts or baking ingredients. If you have a coffee grinder you can make it by yourself

I get ground almonds from the supermarket, in the baking/flour section. The supermarket version is more finely ground than doing it yourself, and more similar to wheat flour. Home ground will taste fresher and more textured. If you grind your own, you can do it in a food processor, but don't go too far or the flour will become oily and eventually turn into almond butter. I sometimes do it twice, once pulsing in the food processor, then again in the coffee grinder.

Is almond flour just ground almonds then?
